Real estate professionals invited to seminar today

The Jefferson-Lewis Board of Realtors will host a continuing education class for real estate professionals from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. today at the Black River Valley Club, 131 Washington St.

Jeff Elias, author of the best-seller Comprehensive Guide to Real Estate Finance, will teach a half-day finance and tax seminar titled "How to Attract More Buyers and Create More Sales." He has completed more than 3,000 seminars in the past 28 years in all 50 states, Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands.

The program, with a breakfast starting at 7:30 a.m., is free to real estate agents through support from Northern Federal Credit Union, Carthage Federal Savings & Loan Association, Community Bank N.A., First Niagara Mortgage and Gouverneur Savings & Loan Association.

Participants should bring a nonperishable food item for the local food pantries.
