A bequest from the late Theodore R. Otakie will endow a new scholarship for nontraditional students who are in a science-based licensure program at Jefferson Community College beginning in 2011.

Mr. Otakie died in 2007. He graduated from Watertown High School but did not attend JCC.

Recommendations for the scholarship will be made by science division faculty members. For more information, call Lucia M. Bliss, executive director of the JCC Foundation, at 786-2291.
