JCC offers area contractors stormwater control course

The Continuing Education Division at Jefferson Community College will hold a stormwater management training workshop for developers, contractors and subcontractors from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Saturday in Jules Center, Room 6-002.

Under state Department of Environmental Conservation regulations, construction sites must have one worker trained in stormwater management on site to implement a pollution prevention plan and at least one trained employee on site when soil is being disturbed.

The workshop provides four hours of required training in the principles and practices of erosion and sediment control.
