CANCER BENEFIT for Terri Mitchell (Henderson) @ FAT BOYS, 743 Huntington St, Watertown, Sat., Dec 5th, 11am - 5:30pm. Terri is a very loved mother, wife, daughter, sister, friend, & most of all now has her 1st grandchild. Over the past 4-5 mos Terri has been very ill, she has had a lot of expenses. Terri has been diagnosed w/3rd stage cancer. Terri worked at The Jefferson County Adult Home known as Whispering Pines for years taking care of the elderly, maybe even your parents or grandparents. Please help us out with a donation to make this benefit a success. We are looking for all kinds of items/gift certificates to raffle or auction off. We can also use any kind of food donations for the benefit. Cash donations will go to the Mitchell family, anything you can donate would be greatly appreciated.

Children's Victorian Holiday Tea Party The Jefferson County Historical Society, 228 Washington Street, Watertown, New York will hold a Children's Victorian Holiday Tea Party on Saturday, December 5, 2009 from 1 - 4 p.m. for children ages 5 - 10 accompanied by an adult. Activities with a Victorian theme will include making holiday ornaments, storytelling, a puppet show, dancing and Tea with "Mrs. Paddock" at the Paddock Mansion. Cost is $7 per child and $3 for adult. Reservation deadline is Tuesday, November 24, 2009. Benefit for George Carroll There will be an evening of dancing and fun to benefit George Carroll, a life-long resident of the North Country, who is undergoing cancer treatment. This event will be on November 21, 2009 from 6:00 p.m. to 12:00 midnight at the North Side Improvement League, 633 Mill Street, Watertown. $5.00 admission includes dancing to the music of "Fred & the Eds" and "DJ Justice". There will also be pizza and munchies, a silent auction and 50/50 raffle and names will be entered into a drawing for a door prize.
