INSECT CONTROL NOTICE Aerial spraying for mosquitoes will take place in the Village of Lyons Falls, Village of Richville The applications will be begin the spray period of July 3rd 2015 ,and if inclement weather exist - then the following week. Blue, white and gold twin engine Piper Aztecs will be used. Applications will be conducted in accordance with the appropriate New York State DEC and DOH guidelines. Kontrol 30-30 will be used at the rate of .001-.007 lbs ai/acre. Kontrol (active ingredient Permethrin), will be applied at the recommended labeled of .001-.007 lbs ai/acre. Its EPA signal word is "Caution". The insecticide will be diluted with near medical grade mineral oil. The precautionary statements for Kontrol (EPA Reg. No 73748--5) as they appear on the label include: Harmful if swallowed, avoid breathing of vapor. Avoid contact with skin, eyes of clothing. This product is toxic to fish and aquatic organisms. Do not apply to lakes streams or ponds. Do not apply when weather conditions favor drift from areas treated. Do not apply to cropland, feed or foodstuffs. Direction for proper use include: Spray-parks, campsites, woodlands, athletic fields, swamps, tidal marshes, residential areas, and municipalities. This product is specially designed for aircraft capable of applying low volume finished spray solution for control of mosquitoes, midge and black flies.
